Disclosure

Disclosure

Effective date: August 24, 2026

Korea Actually is an independent English-language publication about Korea. This page explains how advertising, affiliate links, sponsorships, commercial relationships, and AI-assisted tools may be used on this website.

Current monetization status

As of August 24, 2026, Korea Actually is still in the early stage of building its content and audience.

Advertising and affiliate programs may not yet be active across the site. As these features are introduced, this Disclosure will be updated to reflect the commercial relationships that actually apply.

Advertising

Korea Actually may display advertising in the future, including ads provided by services such as Google AdSense or other advertising partners.

Advertising revenue may help support the operation of the website, including research, hosting, content production, and ongoing updates.

Advertisers do not control the factual conclusions, editorial opinions, article topics, or recommendations published on Korea Actually.

Affiliate links

Some articles may contain affiliate links.

If you click an affiliate link and make a qualifying purchase, booking, registration, or other transaction, Korea Actually may receive a commission at no additional cost to you.

Affiliate relationships do not automatically make a product or service eligible for coverage, and the availability of a commission does not determine whether something is recommended.

Where practical, articles containing affiliate links will include an appropriate disclosure near the relevant commercial content.

Amazon Associates

Korea Actually may participate in the Amazon Associates Program or other Amazon affiliate programs in the future.

If and when participation begins, the site will display the disclosure language required by Amazon, including any mandatory statement required under the applicable Amazon Associates operating agreement.

Korea Actually is not currently representing itself as an Amazon Associate unless and until participation has been formally activated.

Sponsored content and brand collaborations

Korea Actually may work with brands, tourism-related companies, Korean manufacturers, retailers, service providers, or other commercial partners.

Paid partnerships, sponsored articles, gifted products, hosted experiences, or other material commercial relationships will be disclosed when they apply.

Payment, free products, travel support, samples, or other benefits do not guarantee positive coverage.

Korea Actually may decline partnerships that do not fit the site’s editorial standards or audience.

Editorial independence

Commercial relationships are kept separate from factual verification.

Whether an article includes advertising, affiliate links, sponsorship, or a commercial partner, Korea Actually aims to apply the same standards to claims about:

  • Prices
  • Policies and procedures
  • Product origin
  • Manufacturing location
  • Availability
  • Local usage
  • Popularity
  • Advantages and disadvantages

If a claim cannot be supported confidently, it should be narrowed, qualified, or removed regardless of whether a commercial relationship exists.

Korea Actually does not sell positive editorial conclusions.

Reviews and recommendations

Recommendations on Korea Actually are intended to help readers make practical decisions.

A product, service, hotel, transportation option, app, or brand may be mentioned because it is relevant to the reader’s problem, even when there is no commercial relationship.

Likewise, the existence of an affiliate or sponsorship opportunity does not guarantee recommendation or inclusion.

Where there are meaningful limitations, disadvantages, eligibility requirements, or better alternatives, Korea Actually aims to explain them.

Korean brands and makers

Korea Actually may feature Korean brands, products, makers, and manufacturers through editorial content and, in the future, commercial profiles or sponsored listings.

A Korean brand is not automatically treated as a product that is made in Korea.

Where manufacturing origin matters, Korea Actually aims to distinguish between:

  • Korean-owned or Korean-based brands
  • Products designed in Korea
  • Products manufactured in Korea
  • Products manufactured outside Korea
  • OEM or ODM manufacturing relationships

Paid listings or partnerships, if introduced, will not automatically change manufacturing-origin claims or other factual information.

AI-assisted tools

Korea Actually may use AI tools to assist with parts of the editorial workflow, including research organization, outlining, drafting, translation support, data organization, or image ideation.

AI-generated output is not treated as a factual source by itself.

Articles are reviewed and edited before publication, and factual claims are checked against appropriate sources whenever reasonably possible.

Korea Actually does not intentionally publish fabricated personal experiences or present AI-generated experiences as first-hand reporting.

Images and illustrations

Korea Actually may use original photography, screenshots, official source materials, licensed images, or AI-assisted illustrations depending on the article.

Illustrations are used to explain or visualize information and should not be interpreted as documentary evidence unless clearly identified as an actual photograph or screenshot.

Corrections
